We are seeking an Infrastructure and Civil Project Leader to join our growing Vancouver team. This senior role is ideal for a leader with deep experience delivering complex civil and infrastructure projects, who also brings the ability to support and strengthen business development efforts through strong client relationships and project leadership.
You will play a key role in establishing Arup’s presence in the Vancouver market by leading major projects, supporting market growth, and connecting local delivery with Arup’s global expertise, while leading projects and pursuits across Western Canada and Canada more broadly.

The opportunity
Lead major infrastructure projects, providing strategic oversight, client leadership, and delivery governance for complex, multidisciplinary teams; Act as a senior client-facing leader, building trusted relationships with public- and private-sector clients; Lead and support business development activities by identifying opportunities through active project and client engagement, shaping pursuits, and contributing to win strategies. Contribute to the growth of Arup’s infrastructure portfolio in British Columbia, particularly across transportation, energy, and water markets, as well as property-related infrastructure and climate resilient civil infrastructure. Provide leadership input to proposals and bid submissions, including scope definition, positioning, and interview participation, while collaborating closely with market and business development teams. Mentor and support project teams, helping to build delivery capability and leadership capacity within the Vancouver office. Contribute to market and recruitment strategy, helping shape a strong, sustainable infrastructure practice aligned with local market needs.

Is this role right for you?
15+ years of experience pursuing and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on transportation, energy or water sectors. Proven experience acting as a senior project leader on complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. A strong understanding of infrastructure procurement, delivery models, and stakeholder environments in British Columbia. Demonstrated ability to support business development through project leadership, client relationships, and trusted delivery. Experience contributing to or supporting major pursuits and proposal efforts. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Vancouver Hiring Range – Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Vancouver is $200,000 to $220,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Vancouver will differ.
