Quality Assurance Analyst
Your Opportunity
Within Information Technology, Integrated Business Applications, we are looking for a paid internship/co-op position with full-time hours available for up to one year. The successful candidate will collaborate with project teams through the testing and defect management process for changes to our Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud Fusion applications, and other corporate applications. This position will focus on and participate in coordinating and performing manual testing, with a particular emphasis on testing in French.
The successful candidate can be based in any one of our Stantec offices located in Canada.
Your Key Responsibilities
Duties Reporting to the Manager of Quality Assurance & Control, your specific duties will encompass all of the following activities, with an emphasis on French testing:
- Assisting project and agile teams with Quality Assurance processes.
- Helping coordinate testing processes through various testing phases.
- Collaborating with business and systems analysts on test plans and test cases.
- Creating and maintaining test cases and test suites using Tricentis qTest under supervision.
- Assisting with test case creation and manual test execution with the offshore team.
- Executing test runs, analyzing test results, and logging defects in Jira with guidance.
- Providing project teams with test execution and defect status updates.
- Supporting the operational release process as it relates to QA activities.
- Assisting with test user and access maintenance.
- Helping train users on Tricentis qTest.
- Creating, updating, and posting relevant QA documentation in Confluence.
- Assisting in administering and maintaining the Tricentis qTest test management system.
- Exploring opportunities to automate testing.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Bilingual proficiency in both written and spoken French and English is a must.
- Francophone education is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in very dynamic environment switching projects and focus on short notice.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and think analytically.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Self-motivated with good collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Understanding of ITIL practices.
- Knowledge in SDLC, STLC, testing methodologies and best practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of release management processes and best practices is a plus.
- Solid understanding of Financial, HRMS and Project Accounting business processes is a plus.
- Experience with Tricentis qTest, Jira, Confluence and Quest Stat is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or any degree from a technical school, preferably in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. Or,
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field and pursuing a Master’s degree.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
