Under the direction of the Manager of Fund Development and Community Relations and supervision of the Events and Fund Development Coordinator, the incumbent will assist in the administration for fundraising activities and grant applications. The incumbent is also responsible to support in the organization’s events and projects facilitating its promotion and delivery.

THE ROLE
- Demonstrate, promote and advocate the Wing Kei vision, mission and core values
- Be responsible for updating donor databases by completing timely and accurate entry of donations, updating records and regular data clean-up
- Support in creating and distributing communications to donors for timely stewardship
- Liaise with the management team and senior administrative coordinators to handle requests and queries from internal and external clients, including sponsors and donors
- The incumbent is also responsible for supporting the organization’s events and projects, contributing to their effective promotion and successful execution.
- Assist in event preparation and execution as directly by the supervisor
- Create invitations cards, gifts and thank you letters in a time sensitive manner
- Prepare materials and participate in meetings & training and take detailed minutes as required
- Assist in preparing grants, funding or event applications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in achieving fundraising goals
- Provide general administrative support to the organization
THE INDIVIDUAL WHO WILL SUCCEED
- Is aligned with a culture where people and integrity matters
- Has completed a college diploma or undergraduate degree; completion of a program in a related field (Business Administration, Communications, Event-Planning, Fundraising, etc.) is an asset
- Prior experience with CRMs or donor databases
- Prior working experience with fundraising, events or experience working in not-for-profit organizations is an asset
- Excellent command of spoken and written English skills; spoken and written proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Adaptable, spontaneous self-starter while still disciplined in meeting deadlines
- Is able to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgement and has good prioritization skills
- Is an individual who exhibits high ethical standards and able to handle confidential information
- Has great phone and office etiquette, enjoys building rapport and connecting with a diverse audience
- Has good computer literacy; basic experience in graphics design (Canva) is an asset
- Thrives in a growing organization, remaining a positive attitude through temporary challenges
- Finds it easy to enjoy a variety of tasks, and is eager to grow and learn
