About the role
About Treefrog
Treefrog is a full-service digital marketing agency that helps organizations transform their marketing into a growth engine. We specialize in B2B demand generation, lead generation, and account-based marketing (ABM), delivering integrated strategies across SEO, SEM, Content, Paid and Organic Social, Email Marketing, Marketing Automation, CRO, ABM/ABA, Analytics, Branding, Web Services, and Technical Integrations.
We are looking for an Associate Director, Digital Strategy to join our leadership team. This is a client-facing, senior strategic role — you’ll be the marketing brain our clients depend on to architect campaigns that fuel pipeline and revenue. You’ll partner with Account Directors (who manage relationships and commercial aspects) and guide specialists (who execute tactically), ensuring every initiative ladders up to clear business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Develop comprehensive annual and quarterly marketing strategies for enterprise accounts, including channel mix, campaign architecture, content strategy, and success metrics.
- Lead strategic discussions with senior client stakeholders (CMOs, VPs of Marketing, Marketing Directors), acting as their trusted advisor on B2B demand generation and ABM.
- Present strategies, insights, and recommendations in a clear, consultative manner that drives client confidence.
- Design integrated buyer journeys that orchestrate SEO, SEM, ABM, Content, Social, Email, and Marketing Automation.
- Collaborate with Account Directors on QBRs, presenting marketing impact on pipeline, revenue, and growth.
- Build strategic decks and insight reports that synthesize performance, trends, and forward-looking recommendations.
Performance Excellence & Optimization
- Be accountable for achieving client business outcomes, including performance marketing goals like increased leads, pipeline, and revenue.
- Own all performance metrics and KPIs for your accounts — from MQLs and pipeline contribution to conversion rates and revenue attribution.
- Conduct analyses to proactively identify optimization opportunities and threats to campaign performance. You'll recommend strategic changes to tactics to maintain momentum and ensure we remain on track to meet business objectives.
- Define attribution models and reporting frameworks to accurately demonstrate marketing’s impact on revenue.
- Continuously push for performance improvement against industry benchmarks and best practices.
- Guide Account Directors and clients in prioritizing channels, budgets, and campaigns based on performance data.
Campaign Architecture & Innovation
- Architect sophisticated, multi-touch campaign strategies that align with complex B2B buying committees and sales cycles.
- Create detailed campaign briefs for specialists to execute against, ensuring strategic coherence.
- Develop account playbooks that capture what works and scale successful approaches.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends, tools, and technologies to give clients a competitive edge.
- Act as the strategic quality gate — ensuring that all work delivered by specialists aligns with business objectives.
- Jump into platforms like Google Ads, HubSpot, GA4, and others to conduct hands-on strategic audits, troubleshoot campaign issues, or validate specialist work as needed.
Team & Collaboration
-
Partner closely with Account Directors — they own the relationship and commercial side, you own the strategy and performance.
-
Provide strategic direction to specialists by setting priorities, defining success metrics, and ensuring all tactical work ladders up to the client's business objectives.
-
Work with Project Management to ensure strategies are executed on time, on scope, and to standard.
-
Contribute to new business pitches and proposals as the senior marketing strategist.
Qualifications
Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in B2B digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior strategy role (agency or consultancy preferred).
- Proven success in building strategies that drive pipeline and revenue growth.
- Strong track record of leading client conversations.
- Experience orchestrating ABM campaigns and mapping complex B2B buyer journeys.
- Comfortable managing multiple enterprise-level accounts simultaneously.
Capabilities
- Ability to connect tactical execution to strategic business outcomes, with the readiness to get hands-on in platforms for troubleshooting, auditing, or deeper analysis when necessary.
- Expert understanding of how SEO, SEM, Paid Social, Content, Email, and Automation integrate into complex B2B sales cycles.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to extract insights from data and tell a compelling story.
- Knowledge of marketing attribution, revenue operations, and ROI measurement.
- Skilled at deck-building, insight reporting, and narrative-driven presentations.
Technical Proficiency
-
Strong knowledge of modern B2B MarTech stacks and how to architect solutions.
-
Proficient in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Looker Studio, Tag Manager, and advanced reporting frameworks.
-
Hands-on familiarity with SEO (Ahrefs, SEMrush), SEM (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads), Paid Social (LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager).
-
Skilled in marketing automation and CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign).
-
Experience with ABM platforms (6Sense, Demandbase, RollWorks) is a major asset.
What We Offer
- A strategic leadership role where you’ll shape marketing programs for enterprise clients.
- The opportunity to lead client conversations at the executive level and act as their consultative marketing partner.
- A collaborative team where you’ll partner with Account Directors and specialists to deliver excellence.
