The Opportunity We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager, Group & Programs to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the success of one of Aviva’s largest global partnerships. In this high‑impact role, you will lead sales performance, strengthen key partner relationships, and champion strategic initiatives that fuel profitable growth across Group and Specialty Programs. What You’ll Do Sales and Revenue Growth
- Lead ongoing performance management for sales and portfolio, serving as the partnership owner for Group and Programs Portfolios
- Deliver and monitor sales plans and growth targets for Group and assigned Programs.
- Collaborate with Sales Teams to identify and unlock new business development opportunities that drive growth and retention.
Account and Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for all Group and Program relationships.
- Proactively prevent and reduce escalations through root cause analysis and continuous process improvements.
- Work alongside our Partner to deliver innovative solutions to address business challenges, strengthening the partnership and driving mutual success.
Strategic Initiatives and Planning
- Support the development, planning, and execution of Group and Programs strategic plans and BAU deliverables, with a focus on sales growth, volume expansion, and enhanced customer experience through clear value propositions.
- Partner with Digital Quote & Buy and Service teams to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of digital OKRs, driving increased Group digital sales results.
- Collaborate across internal and external sales and service channels to align Group and Programs value propositions with Partner’s brand and strategic objectives.
What You’ll Bring
- A college, university degree in related fields
- CIP, FCIP, ACIP designation is preferred
- 5+ years related experience within the property and casualty insurance industry, including exposure to sales and servicing environment or relevant account and relationship management experience.
- Experience in P&C Sales and Service role is an asset
- Experience in P&C Underwriting is an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills and effective presentation techniques
- Advanced Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and Salesforce is preferred
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- A high performance, results orientated, great teammate work ethic.
- The ability to get things done effectively at pace
- Excellent relationship skills
- Strong networking capabilities
- Very strong business management (business plans, metrics, understands business drivers) capabilities
- Negotiation skills
- Strategic problem solver
What You’ll Get
- The salary band for this position ranges from $85,000 to $120,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
