Position Overview:
We are currently hiring 4 temporary canvassers for a 2–3 week project in the Ottawa area. This role involves going door-to-door and engaging with residents and businesses to promote our recycling services, generate leads, and support community outreach efforts. This is a great opportunity for energetic, outgoing individuals who enjoy working independently and interacting with people.
The wage for this position is $30–$35 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement (kms).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned areas
- Communicate CFT Recycling’s services clearly and professionally
- Generate leads and collect customer information
- Answer basic questions about services and pricing
- Track daily activity and report results to management
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of canvassing experience is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with door-to-door outreach and working outdoors
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Ability to work independently and meet daily targets
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred)
- Previous sales or canvassing experience is an asset but not required
About the Role – Canvasser
As a Canvasser at CFT Recycling, you will play a key role in expanding our customer base and increasing community awareness of our recycling services. You’ll be on the front lines, engaging directly with residents and businesses through door-to-door outreach, introducing our services, and generating new leads.
This is a fast-paced, people-focused role ideal for individuals who are confident communicators, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. Your efforts will directly contribute to the company’s growth while helping promote environmentally responsible practices within the community.
