The End User Services Specialist is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation and operations of CI Financials end-user computing technology. S/he are to work on delivering both innovation and continuous improvement as it relates to end-user compute services. S/He are also to provide support and able to interface with the relevant vendors to resolve issues related to Microsoft Endpoint Management technologies to support and enhance our enterprise desktop environment. This role focuses on SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Microsoft Intune, Group Policy, and vulnerability and patch management, ensuring all corporate endpoints remain secure, compliant, and efficiently managed.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage the Microsoft Endpoint environment (SCCM and Intune) as it relates to architecture and security
- Provide and deploy solutions to vulnerability management while working closely to our Information Security and business teams
- Lead the design and implementation of computing solutions that deliver a high-quality experience for end-users
- Manage client facing GPOs
- Manage Single Sign On And MFA Solutions
- Lead Development and manage AV and Collaboration Room Technology
- Identify areas of continuous service improvement as it relates to end-user compute
- Provide third level support for end-user computing technology
- Liaison with appropriate third-party vendors as it relates to end-user computing technology
- Ensure end-user technology is patched and updated in accordance with CI standards
- Administer SCCM software delivery, including various methods such as running advertised programs, machine targeted, user targeted, Application Library and Software Center
- Monitor supporting systems to ensure maximum uptime and availability
- Participate in Major Incident Management process as the SME for End-user Compute
- Fine tune and optimize systems to ensure maximum performance benefits
- Provide after hours support based on the scheduled rotation.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING Education/Training
- Post-secondary education in computers or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Certifications focused on Microsoft 365 and Mobility and Security are preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience supporting and administrating a Microsoft Environment
- 5+ years of experience with configuring and supporting an Office 365 tenant including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.
- 5+ years experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, Windows and Mac platforms, Jamf, Group Policy Administration, and virtual desktops.
- 2-3 Advanced AV and Collaboration Technologies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Self-motivated, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Proven ability to plan realistic process and solution designs requirements appropriate to identified risk scenarios.
- Must be a creative and strategic thinker, working comfortably in a highly collaborative environment and be effective in a constantly evolving environment.
- Must be naturally and innately curious, a lifelong learner, have a thirst for knowledge, and can remain calm and composed in times of uncertainty and stress, inspiring the same in others.
- Extensive experience supporting various Office 365 workloads such as Exchange Online, MS Teams, Enterprise Voice, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, etc.
- Knowledge of identity management using Azure AD connect, ADFS and SSO technologies like SAML. Experience with Okta an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, Information Rights Management, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication and related technologies.
- Expertise with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager). Knowledge of Microsoft Intune/Autopilot or any other major mobile device/application solutions a plus.
- Excellent knowledge/experience with desktop operating systems (Windows, MacOS)
- Technical and practical knowledge of PowerShell scripting for administration, automation of processes, and issue resolution
- Understanding of security technologies
- Ability to drive Continuous Service Improvement
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with end-users to drive change
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
