Position Overview We are seeking a Sports Medicine Physician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in both athletic and general populations. You’ll collaborate with a network of specialists in orthopaedics and rehabilitation to provide evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for patients, including athletes and active individuals
  • Collaborate closely with allied health professionals within a multidisciplinary setting
  • Perform musculoskeletal ultrasound or injection therapies
  • Participate in quality improvement, education, and professional development initiatives
  • Contribute to community engagement and health promotion activities related to injury prevention and wellness

Qualifications

  • MD degree and certification in Family Medicine or equivalent
  • Fellowship or focused practice designation in Sport & Exercise Medicine (SEM)
  • Active and unrestricted license (or eligibility for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
