We are currently seeking an experienced Foreperson to join our team at Suncor Fort Hills Mine. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising crews performing reclamation and heavy civil construction work in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.

What We Offer
Compensation
$45.00 – $47.00 per hour Overtime paid at 1.5x after 8 hours per day Bi-weekly pay $2.00/hour wage increase after 90 days, subject to successful performance review $2.00/hour Performance Incentive Bonus after 90 days 9.6% Vacation and Statutory Holiday Pay paid on all regular hours

Project Details
Location: Suncor Fort Hills Mine, Fort McMurray, Alberta
Schedule
14 Days On / 7 Days Off 12-hour shifts (11.5 paid hours per shift) Day and Night Shift Rotation
Camp & Travel
Private room and bathroom at Willow Camp Flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary Transportation between airport and camp provided
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, mentor, and supervise heavy equipment operators and labour crews Promote and enforce safe work practices and company policies Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety discussions Coordinate labour, equipment, and materials to meet project objectives Maintain communication with Supervisors, General Foremen, and Project Managers Complete daily documentation including FLHAs, timesheets, inspections, and reports Investigate and report incidents, hazards, near misses, and equipment damage Monitor crew performance and provide coaching, mentorship, and corrective action when required Operate equipment and assist with field work as required Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional work environment
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in heavy civil, mining, industrial, or construction environments Previous experience working in the Alberta Oil Sands Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with acceptable Driver's Abstract Ability to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing Strong commitment to safety

About Kichton Contracting Ltd
Kichton Contracting Ltd (KCL) has been in business since 1963 and is based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. KCL is classified as a medium sized civil earthworks contractor. Our work ranges from residential earthworks, commercial site development to industrial projects. Our services include grading design for all types of new commercial and industrial sites along with retrofitting existing sites to accommodate new site development.
Once we have satisfied the client with the design, we extend our services to provide the equipment, labour and materials necessary to complete the work. With our experience in both the civil and building construction industry we are able to provide a complete project. At KCL we strive to stay current with new industry regulations and requirements. It is our intent to become well versed in all aspects of the construction industry.
We have acquired experienced personnel and a wide range of equipment to facilitate all of the work we have completed to date. Employee safety is very important to us; we have even obtained a COR (Certification of Recognition) to show our dedication to safety standards. To ensure that it stays a priority we have made it an integral component in our project planning process.
Using our present knowledge to gain new knowledge in different areas of work helps keep KCL versatile, competitive and cost effective. We take pride in providing quality services while maintaining a professional reputation.
