About the role
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Developer Advocate to be the foundational hire on our Developer Relations team. This person will act as both a strategic voice in the Agentic AI ecosystem and an individual contributor who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to write docs, build demos, and engage with developers every day.
Reporting into the Marketing team, you’ll partner with Product and Engineering to make Alloy Automation the go-to platform for developers building agentic workflows. You’re equally comfortable speaking to executives about where the market is headed as you are spinning up a demo repo or writing a technical blog post. You’ll be the face of Alloy Automation to developers, speaking at developer events, recording videos and demos, and writing about what you and the rest of the team build.
What would you be doing?
- Build Relationships in the Ecosystem- Proactively connect with developers, founders, and technical leaders across the Agentic AI space to drive awareness and form partnerships.
- Own Developer Community Channels - Launch and manage our community across Discord, GitHub, StackOverflow, and other relevant platforms to foster engagement and support.
- Create High-Quality Technical Content - Author and edit blog posts, onboarding guides, demos, sample apps, and technical tutorials that help developers use Alloy Automation quickly and effectively.
- Drive Thought Leadership & Events - Speak at conferences, participate in podcasts, and host livestreams, workshops, and developer meetups to represent Alloy Automation publicly.
- Contribute to Product Documentation - Write, update, and improve developer documentation so it stays accurate and easy to navigate. Implement and test integration examples end-to-end to ensure our docs are effective.
- Act as a Feedback Loop to Product - Represent the developer perspective internally and provide actionable feedback to the product and engineering teams.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years in developer advocacy, solutions engineering, dev tools product marketing, or similar roles in B2B SaaS
- Strong technical foundation (comfortable reading/writing code and building demo apps)
- Excellent communicator – equally strong at writing, presenting, and facilitating discussions
- Experienced with managing developer communities (Discord, GitHub, OSS projects, etc.)
- Passionate about AI and eager to help build the next generation of agentic tooling
- Comfortable being a “team of one” in the early stage and scaling the function from scratch
