About the role

As a Payroll Intern, you will contribute to the smooth operation of administrative and financial activities related to employee management. You will primarily work in Dayforce (DF) and support the Payroll and
Human Resources teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and efficient processes.
***This internship must be completed as part of an academic program. The intern must be registered with a recognized educational institution.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
Support the administration of new hires and employee records management in Dayforce
Follow up on missing onboarding information and work permits
Generate and analyze reports to validate payroll and compliance data
Assist with the management of T4 and Relevé 1 slips, including follow-ups and employee
communications
Validate active employees at each payroll cycle and enrollment in group insurance plans
Assist with employee terminations (validation of timesheets and approval of initial steps)
Process and validate Service Canada requests, as needed
Follow up on Manulife beneficiaries and ensure employee records are kept up to date
Profile sought
Student enrolled in a program in Finance, Accounting, or Administration (credited or school recognized internship)
Available 4 days per week, Tuesday to Friday
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and highly diligent
Comfortable with digital tools and management systems (Dayforce is an asset)
Able to manage multiple follow-ups while maintaining confidentiality
Strong written and verbal communication skills
