About the role
Our client is a well-established company that owns and manages several high-rise residential and commercial buildings. Renowned for the quality of its assets and rigorous management, they are seeking a Director of Building Maintenance and Renovation to strengthen their team based in downtown Montreal. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, coordination, and supervision of various renovation and maintenance projects involving large-scale residential and commercial buildings. They will play a key role in strategic planning, meeting deadlines, budget control, and overseeing work on site.

Tasks
- Participate in the planning and coordination of projects with involved professionals;
- Ensure rigorous follow-up with all stakeholders (internal and external);
- Develop plans, specifications, methods, and schedules;
- Assess costs, phases, materials, and procedures;
- Manage calls for tenders and bidding processes;
- Prepare and review contracts with contractors and suppliers;
- Supervise work performed by subcontractors;
- Control the quality of work and compliance with applicable standards;
- Verify and approve invoices;
- Manage technical maintenance teams for the buildings;
- Manage costs, schedules, and priorities;
- Be present and involved on-site throughout the projects;
- Perform all other related tasks.

Job requirements
- DEC diploma in Building Technology, Construction, or equivalent;
- Minimum 15 years of experience managing construction and maintenance projects for high-rise buildings;
- Proficiency in spoken and written French (essential).
