Summary of responsibilities
Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, this temporary position will focus on general maintenance tasks within the buildings as assigned through the Helpdesk or the employee’s manager. It will require the applicant to work independently on tasks when assigned.
General Duties:
- Cleaning of the surfaces to be refreshed.
- Prep work for wall and ceiling repairs including minor repairs to drywall (removing damage and applying new drywall, taping and applying compound), removing old loose paint, sanding and painting.
- Sanding and painting of damaged doors frames.
- Re applying of baseboards if damaged and coming away from the wall.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements of the job

Two years’ experience applicable to the job responsibilities.

Demonstrate required skills and ability to provide quality work within a specified timeline. (Sample task will be assigned and evaluated in advance of the position award.)

Ability to work independently and problem solve
-
Ability to use the required tools for the job. (Sanding tools both manual and power, painting pole, rollers, brushes, caulking gun, HEPA vacuum, hoarding cube when necessary, scissor lift when necessary and other tools as necessary)

Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance as verified by direct supervisor
-
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, Infection Control measures and all ICARE values
-
Functional proficiency in English (oral and written)
-
Good computer skills related to using Outlook with CCH .

Good communication skills
-
Working at Heights Certificate is an asset but CCH will enroll if necessary
-
Demonstrated Completion of all mandatory training modules
