ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT: The Manufacturing ERP Project Lead is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and integration of manufacturing modules within the new ERP system. This role provides leadership and guidance throughout the transition, supporting employees and driving an agile, innovative approach to deliver the project on time and effectively align manufacturing processes with the chosen software.

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the configuration and customization of the new software system to align with manufacturing and organizational requirements, including processes and data for metrics and reporting
  • Develop and establish manufacturing-specific test cases and scenarios to ensure processes are correctly integrated and functioning within the new system
  • Collaborate with technical teams to address manufacturing-specific development needs, system customizations, and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Continuously update documentation related to configuration, customization changes, and testing outcomes to maintain accuracy and transparency
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive data migration strategy, including mapping, transformation, migration testing, integrations, and rollback plans in case of failures
  • Conduct thorough reviews of existing processes and data to identify and correct inaccuracies, inconsistencies, incomplete records, and redundancies prior to migration
  • Ensure sensitive and proprietary data is managed in compliance with privacy regulations, implementing audit trails and access control policies
  • Perform data integrity checks to identify anomalies and resolve issues, ensuring accurate and complete data transfer to the new system
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and reporting mechanisms to track progress, risks, and key performance indicators
  • Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and escalate functional implementation decisions to the steering committee when required
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define required processes, project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration, transparency, and timely resolution of issues
  • Engage manufacturing SMEs and other stakeholders at appropriate stages throughout the implementation process
  • Develop and conduct training programs for manufacturing end-users to enhance understanding of the new system and its features, providing ongoing support during all phases of implementation
  • Continuously assess and identify opportunities to optimize the manufacturing module within the new system for maximum efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Gather feedback from end-users and stakeholders post-implementation to fine-tune processes, training, and system utilization
  • Lead and participate in post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure successful turnover of responsibilities to the business unit

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in Business Administration, or Information Technology
  • 3–5 years of experience in end-to-end ERP implementation, including leading teams or projects and supporting manufacturing processes or service delivery modernization initiatives
  • Experience with ERP implementation in the manufacturing sector is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, functional requirements, best practices, and applicable legislation/regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess needs and recommend effective solutions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams across large-scale projects, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of objectives
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to communicate effectively with varied audiences
  • Commitment to health and safety practices
