Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Data Engineer. The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows. Responsibilities include implementing and optimizing ETL processes, developing and maintaining data warehouses and data models, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and security across multiple sources. The role involves collaborating closely with data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and continuously improve data infrastructure. The Senior Data Engineer will also contribute to best practices, documentation, performance tuning, and the evaluation of new tools and technologies that strengthen the data ecosystem.

Qualifications

7+ Years of Experience in Data Engineering required Candidates should possess strong Data Engineering skills, including building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines and data platforms. Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to design efficient schemas and support scalable analytics and reporting. Candidates should possess expertise in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to integrate, cleanse, and transform data from diverse sources. Candidates should possess capabilities in Data Analytics to support business insights, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making. Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data frameworks or tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, dbt) is highly beneficial. Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java). Background in designing scalable, secure, and reliable data architectures, with familiarity in data governance and privacy best practices. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote and distributed teams.
