What is the opportunity?
As the Director, Financial institutions, Asia ex-Japan in RBC BlueBay Asset Management, you will be responsible for business development and client servicing global financial institutions and regional financial institutions.
What will you do?
- Client Relationship Management:
- Act as a key point of contact for global private banks and regional banks across Asia ex-Japan, building and maintaining long-term, trusted relationships for the firm.
- Understand clients’ investment needs, work with fund selection, advisory and other key functions at the client side to provide holistic support for wealth clients.
- Support the firm’s brand building initiatives in the region by organizing, participating client events, product launch and regulator client coverage activities, working with the broader sales team, marketing and media teams.
- Coordinate with internal teams (investment, strategists, marketing & PR, legal, compliance and other functions) and external partners (banks, legal advisors, tax consultants) to deliver seamless client service.
 
- Business Development & Revenue Growth:
- Originate, develop, and expand relationships with new and existing institutional clients (private banks, regional banks) to grow assets under management (AUM) and revenue.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and outreach.
- Support the distribution of fund products and banking services across the region.
 
- Portfolio & Risk Management:
- Monitor client portfolios, provide regular updates, and ensure alignment with clients’ risk appetite and investment objectives.
- Review risks and recommend appropriate credit or investment solutions.
 
- Market & Product Expertise:
- Maintain a deep understanding of financial markets, investment products (equities, bonds, FX, public/private market funds), and banking solutions relevant to private banks and regional banks in Asia.
- Advise clients on strategies and services offered by the firm.
 
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in relationship management, business development, or coverage roles within private banking, asset managements, and capital markets, preferably with sufficient exposure to Asia clients.
- Understand the landscape of local markets, and able to collaborate with global teams in day to day.
- Proven track record in client acquisition, asset gathering, and revenue generation in a client facing role.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese).
- Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CAIA, etc.) are advantageous for private banking roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of private banking markets, regulatory environments, and financial products.

What is the opportunity?
As the Director, Financial institutions, Asia ex-Japan in RBC BlueBay Asset Management, you will be responsible for business development and client servicing global financial institutions and regional financial institutions.
What will you do?
- Client Relationship Management:
