About the role
Join an exciting project bringing a unique horror/comedy short to life through animation. This role is ideal for a creative animator with a flair for storytelling and a passion for blending humor with suspenseful themes. You will collaborate remotely with a team dedicated to creating memorable, engaging content for a wide audience. The project offers the flexibility to work from anywhere and the opportunity to contribute to a distinctive animated production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute high-quality 2D or 3D animation sequences for a horror/comedy short film
- Collaborate with creative leads to interpret storyboards and bring characters and scenes to life
- Ensure animation style and pacing align with the comedic and horror elements of the script
- Incorporate feedback from directors and team members to refine animation work
- Manage project timelines and deliver assets according to agreed milestones
- Prepare final animation files for post-production and integration
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience as an animator, preferably with work on animated shorts or similar projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both comedic and suspenseful animation styles
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom, Blender, or similar)
- Ability to interpret storyboards and translate them into engaging animated sequences
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Availability to commit to project deadlines and participate in virtual team meetings
