About the role
Our client, a respected, independent, not-for-profit organization that plays a critical role in strengthening Canada’s health system through trusted data and insights, is currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a full-time, 2-year contract. As the Finance Business Partner, you play a key role in quarterly, mid-year, year-end, and budget reviews. You partner closely with managers to provide financial planning, reporting, and analysis that support informed decision-making, and you collaborate as needed with multiple teams. You are an exceptional communicator who can translate complex financial information into clear and meaningful insights. You think strategically, with a strong grasp of both short- and long-term financial impacts, and you enjoy partnering with others to move ideas forward. You collaborate naturally and build trust across teams. Reporting to a Senior Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities include:
- Partnering with program leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making
- Explaining financial information clearly and acting as a trusted finance contact for questions and guidance
- Supporting managers through budget, quarterly, and year-end review cycles, highlighting key risks and opportunities
- Preparing and reviewing financial reports, projections, reconciliations, and adjustments to ensure accuracy
- Providing financial analysis to support business cases, funding requests, and long-term planning
- Assisting with organization-wide financial reporting and variance analysis
- Helping track program and project costs and improve financial processes and systems

Qualifications
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Degree in Business Administration or Commerce
- CPA designation required (complete or in the process)
- 3-5 years’ progressive experience with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills required – pivot tables, power pivot, and queries
Considered assets:
- Not-for-profit experience
- Healthcare industry experience
- Project accounting experience
- Bilingualism in both English and French
How You Will Be Rewarded:
- $77,000 - $104,000 salary range
