Job Description
-
Prepares engineering drawings of plans, profiles, Typical sections, cross sections and other typical details based on Municipality's Standard drawings.
-
Should be able to work under minimal supervision and be able to organize and perform tasks necessary to complete assigned projects successfully.

Set up project reference base files, set up sheets per standards and manage drawings via sheet set manager
-
Adhere to client-specific quality control process (CAD Standards).

Experience of working collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers.

Be competent do develop and understand basic alignments in civil3d, prepare cross sections and/or extract quantities .
-
3D design and corridor Modelling in Civil3D is required.
-
Knowledge of working in Collaborative work Environments such as Sharepoint and Projectwise will be an asset.
-
Experience of managing junior CAD technicians and developing team skills with focus on improving quality and efficiency will be an asset.
Qualifications
-
Minimum 10-15 years of prior structural /civil engineering projects CAD related experience.

Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software would be considered a strong asset.

Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
-
Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.

Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team
