About the role
General Manager, Supply Chain Mississauga, ON Are you a proven supply chain leader with a track record of driving operational excellence and leading transformational change? Our client, a successful and growing wholesale distribution organization, is seeking a General Manager, Supply Chain to lead a complex, multi-site operation. Reporting directly to the CEO, this highly visible executive leadership role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact while helping shape the organization's next phase of growth. What You'll Be Leading Overall responsibility for a large, multi-site distribution network Oversight of warehousing, transportation, logistics, inventory, procurement, and customer fulfillment Development and execution of operational strategies that improve efficiency, service, and profitability Leadership of continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost optimization, and operational performance Financial ownership of the supply chain function, including budgets, forecasting, labour productivity, and key performance metrics Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, and Executive Leadership to align operations with business objectives Development, coaching, and leadership of a high-performing management team What We're Looking For 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, distribution, logistics, or wholesale operations Proven success leading complex, multi-site operations Demonstrated experience leading operational turnarounds and driving measurable business improvements Strong background in warehousing, logistics, inventory management, procurement, and transportation Experience leveraging ERP/MRP systems and operational data to support strategic decision-making Strong financial acumen with responsibility for budgets, cost control, and operational performance Executive presence with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization Experience within distribution, foodservice, or other high-volume operational environments is highly desirable. Experience managing complex distribution operations involving perishable products is considered an asset.
