About the role
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Woodsperson is responsible for managing all wood and kindling requirements for the Lodge and guests, maintaining housekeeping vehicles, and providing support to the Housekeeping team as needed. This role requires diligence, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Housekeeping Manager/Assistant Housekeeping Manager/Housekeeping Supervisor

As Required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Chop, stack, and restock all firewood.
- Deliver firewood and kindling to guest rooms.
- Assist guests with fireplace operation and cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness of woodshed and wood storage areas
- Transport supplies between properties using company vehicles.
- Assist housekeepers through linen deliveries, stocking, and requests.
- Clean housekeeping offices, basements, recycling/laundry areas
- Adhere to grooming and uniform standards.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.

Chopping firewood skills and knowledge of fireplace maintenance

Valid driver’s license with clean abstract

Professional, safety-focused, and guest service-oriented

Excellent time management and communication abilities

Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Flexible schedule – able to work variable hours and outdoors.
