The Calgary Police Service requires a highly motivated individual to support the Rewards and Recognition program by managing complex data environments, analyzing and validating information and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effective management of information related to Calgary Police Service members, including service records, milestones, and organizational data. Specific duties may include:

  • Research, analyze, and validate complex information with a high level of accuracy.
  • Optimize systems and workflows through effective database design and process automation.
  • Perform detailed and accurate data entry related to awards, years of service, promotions, and recognitions.
  • Track employee service length, calculate years of service, and maintain precise eligibility records for awards and milestones.
  • Interpret and utilize HCM/PeopleSoft data to accurately migrate and maintain records within a new database.

Qualifications

  • A Diploma/Certificate equivalent to up to one year of full-time study in business studies or event planning and a minimum of 5 years of event planning and administrative experience.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
  • Preference will be given to those with previous experience in a similar role within a law enforcement or police service environment.
  • Event planning knowledge in considered an asset.
  • Achieve results that make the best use of time and resources.
  • Good communicator who is able to build relationships that helps with team building and teamwork.
  • Attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Success in this position requires emotional intelligence; creating and sustaining safe, respectful and inclusive workplaces; promoting supportive, balanced and professional accountability; building and maintaining relationships; developing self and others; striving for results.

Pre-employment Requirements

  • An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
  • Applicants will be tested for appropriate skills.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Union: CUPE Local 38

Position Type: On-Call

Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $39.00 - 52.14 per hour

Hours of work: On-Call hours will vary based on operational needs, no guaranteed number of hours.

Days of work: On-Call shifts vary based on operational requirements.

Location: 5111 - 47 Street N.E.
