  • Identify new product and revenue opportunities that strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Monitor performance indicators—including sales per square foot, product mix, inventory levels, and profitability—and adjust strategies based on real-time insights.
  • Recommend space allocation strategies that maximize sales productivity and align with product performance.
  • Analyze category and product participation trends to optimize assortment and drive stronger outcomes.
  • Track competitor pricing, product offerings, and merchandising activity; propose strategies to improve or defend market position.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and conduct negotiations (with guidance from the VP) to secure best pricing, terms, and supply conditions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, sales reps, and external partners.
  • Lead and coach a high-performing team to deliver merchandising excellence in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • Oversee reporting, forecasting, and business development activities related to merchandising and buying.

What experience do you have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of progressive buying and merchandising experience, ideally within electronics or consumer durables.
  • Proven track record of growing categories and improving assortment profitability.
  • Strong negotiation skills and expertise in cost optimization.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
