WELL Health Diagnostic Centres, previously C-health, is seeking a Clinical Team

Lead. The Team Lead is a working leader who continues to perform their regular day-to-day duties while also providing guidance, coordination, and support to the team. This role acts as an extension of the manager by helping oversee daily operations, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth workflow across the department. The Team Lead fosters a positive solutions-focused environment and serves as a go-to resource for questions, coaching, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients for consultation, follow up/testing appointments prior to seeing
  • Obtain 12-lead ECG and vitals (including but not limited to: height, weight, waist circumference, pulse, blood pressure, SpO2, and temperature, as
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of vitals, patient assessment(s), medication regime(s), and overall physical status as per clinic policy.
  • Access Alberta Netcare for up-to-date patient medications, labs, and relevant testing, as
  • Provide patient teaching regarding CAD and risk factors for heart
  • Perform independent clinical assessment(s)/physical exams when requested by physician and relay findings in an efficient and reliable
  • Provide physician(s) with clinical and administrative support as needed, including but not limited to contacting patients and/or other physicians regarding patient health status.
  • Provide guidance on clinic flow, organizational standards, and administrative procedures to C-health physicians as necessary.
  • Participate as a member of the code team by carrying a portable radio, completing daily radio checks, and responding to calls for assistance, as necessary.
  • Participate in bi-weekly mock code scenarios for both clinical and diagnostic
  • Ensure exam rooms are kept clean and
  • Ensure all portable heaters &/or fans are unplugged at end of
  • Participate as part of the clinical team to prioritize patient safety and ensure positive patient experience(s).
  • Work collaboratively with all WELL Health team employees and staff by being an effective team member, assisting others as required, working with different types of personality, participating in team discussions, and communicating with appropriate supervisor/manager.
  • Review and complete physician tasks as
  • General cleaning, organizing, and rearrangement of physical space(s) in
  • Assist with staff coverage across a wide range of clinical/administrative duties when and as needed based on
  • Work collaboratively with all C-health/WELL Health employees by being an effective team player, assisting others with daily duties when possible, working with different personality types, participating in team discussions and communicating with appropriate supervisor/manager.
  • Provide support to Manager and/or perform ancillary duties as required (outlined below).
  • Participate as part of the clinical team to ensure patient safety.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new clinical staff members as required.
  • Provide support to Manager, Diagnostics and/or perform ancillary duties as required (outlined below).

Ancillary Duties May Include, but are not limited to

  • Create educational resources for clinical and diagnostics teams when requested by Manager, Diagnostics as needed for clinical excellence.
  • Develop or revise existing staff training resources and procedures.
  • Provide hands-on staff education/in-service training as required.
  • General cleaning, organization, and rearrangement of physical space(s) in clinic.
  • Check and/or order clinic stock as requested by Manager, Diagnostics.
  • Attend relevant trainings or educational sessions as needed/as opportunities arise.
  • Involvement in equipment checks, recertification(s), and replacement(s) as necessary.

Qualifications, Experience, & Requirements

  • Strong understanding of department’s workflows, patient flow, standards, and daily operational needs.
  • Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and the ability to support team members and contribute positively to team culture.
  • Clear, respectful communication with staff, leaders, and patients; ability to de-escalate and coach in real time.
  • Consistent follow-through, dependable attendance, strong time management, and adherence to confidentiality and organizational standards.
  • Ability to guide, support, and train team members, including new staff and those learning new workflows.
  • Skilled at assessing situations, making sound decisions, and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Openness to new processes, workflow improvements, and organizational initiatives.
  • Ability to remain composed, fair, and consistent during busy periods or conflict.
  • Comfortable with scheduling support, documentation, reporting, and communication tasks.
  • A cheerful, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with others as well as the ability to work independently and treat everyone with respect, dignity, and kindness.

This role is for an existing vacancy. Compensation is determined based on market

location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity.

Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher
