About the role
Mercer has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Senior Health & Benefits (H&B) Consultant in Toronto. This position is hybrid and will require minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
What can you expect?
The Senior Health Consultant will lead consulting engagements with 500+ life employers regarding their medical, dental, life, disability benefit plans and programs. This role will also negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure health and welfare plan coverage for these employers. As Senior Consultant, you will lead business development opportunities and set business development strategy and tactics for the Toronto Market.
We will count on you to:
- Lead complex consulting engagements with over 500+ employer clients, focusing on medical, dental, life, and disability benefit plans and programs.
- Negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure optimal health and welfare plan coverage.
- Drive business development efforts, set strategic direction, and identify new opportunities within the Toronto market.
- Develop innovative benefits design and renewal strategies, and create tools to address complex client challenges.
- Communicate industry trends and Mercer's position effectively to clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
What you need to have:
- BA/BS degree.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in health & benefits consulting, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex solutions.
- Renowned expertise and a strong industry reputation in the health & benefits field.
- Demonstrated management skills in leading large, complex projects.
