Role: Golang Developer Employment Type: Permanent / Contractor Location: Remote We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Golang to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance distributed systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about backend engineering, cloud-native architectures, and building resilient microservices that support business-critical applications. While the primary focus is backend development, experience across the full stack and exposure to modern frontend technologies is a plus. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Golang. Build and optimize distributed microservices with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability. Develop event-driven applications leveraging Apache Kafka. Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL. Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications running on Kubernetes, including managing CronJobs and scheduled workloads. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions. Troubleshoot production issues and implement robust monitoring and observability practices. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience (8+ years preferred). Strong hands-on experience with Golang in production environments. Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices. Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures. Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka. Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and database design. Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes, including CronJobs. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
