About the role

Our client, a well-established boutique legal practice, is seeking a CPA-designated or CPA-enrolled Accountant to join their team in Milton, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and wants broad exposure across multiple business entities. This hybrid role requires 3–4 days per week in-office and offers the opportunity to play a key role in both financial reporting and operational accounting activities.

Compensation & Benefits Salary: $85K to $95K Base Salary Hybrid work environment (3–4 days per week at the Milton, ON office) Permanent opportunity 3 weeks’ vacation Comprehensive benefits package Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting activities across multiple business entities Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Support operational accounting analysis and reporting Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activities Assist with budgeting, forecasting, expense tracking, and variance analysis Work closely with leadership to support accounting processes and business operations Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel for reporting and accounting tasks Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies Proactively identify issues and escalate questions or concerns when appropriate Qualifications CPA designation OR actively enrolled and completing CPA designation required 3 to 5 years of accounting experience within industry Experience supporting operational accounting functions preferred Exposure to manufacturing, inventory, SKU-based, or multi-entity environments considered an asset Experience with QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow professionally Experience with trust accounting or estate accounting will be considered an asset
