Full‑Time | Salaried | Toronto Downtown Office
The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $58,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. As the Facilities Technician, you are responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day operations of a busy downtown office by ensuring the workplace is safe, functional, clean, and welcoming. This hands‑on role focuses on routine maintenance, minor repairs, inspections, and quick response to facility issues. You’ll work closely with the Facilities Coordinator and site teams, bringing strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a customer‑service mindset to a highly visible, fast‑paced environment.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Facilities Technician, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, including patching, painting, surface repairs, furniture assembly and repairs, light fixture and bulb replacement, and basic plumbing tasks
- Troubleshoot basic HVAC, kitchen equipment, and appliance issues, escalating larger electrical, mechanical, or plumbing concerns as needed
- Use hand tools, light power tools, ladders (under 10 ft), and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of office, kitchen, and support areas to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and cleanliness issues
- Support compliance with workplace health, safety, and operational standards
- Assist with office moves, furniture reconfigurations, equipment relocation, and storage organization
- Support room setups and tear‑downs for meetings, events, deliveries, and special projects
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and incidents, including participation in on‑call or after‑hours support when required
- Communicate clearly through ticketing systems, digital tools, and in‑person updates
- Maintain a professional, service‑oriented presence with employees, visitors, vendors, and site partners

- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and ability to remain calm in fast‑paced or high‑pressure situations
- Experience with some or all of the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC equipment, kitchen equipment, and appliances
- Strong attention to detail with pride in delivering quality work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong verbal, written, and digital communication skills
- High level of professionalism and customer service
- Comfort using ticketing systems and digital tools preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work on your feet for extended periods, and use PPE as required
