In Canada, CNOOC International has oil sands assets in Long Lake, located in northern Alberta just south of Fort McMurray, which is a SAGD and partial Upgrader operation with production capacity of 85,000 barrels of bitumen a day. We also have interest in several other oil sands projects, including Hangingstone, operated by Greenfire Resources Operating Corporation and Syncrude’s oil sands mining upgrading facility. In addition to our oil sands business, we have shale gas land in Northeast British Columbia, a power station in Balzac, Alberta, and interest in a wind farm in southern Alberta. Calgary is our regional corporate office for all North America.
This is a 12-month contractor role based in Calgary**, Alberta.**The successful candidates will be onboarded through a third-party contracting agency.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in information management or an related field, or work experience in document control, information management, and handling of EPC project documentation.
- Experience sending, receiving and expediting documentation and information.
- Proficient skills with Adobe Acrobat Professional DC, Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, FTP, AutoCAD viewer etc. tools.
- Experience with a similar document management system (EDMS) such as Livelink, SPF, EDW, TDNR, eMOC, Bluebeam, SharePoint, etc, as an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written both in English & Chinese Mandarin.
- The ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Acute attention to detail and able to meet tight schedule.
- The ability to work independently and proactively without supervision.
Your Role with Our Team
- Record and Track internal and external distribution of Project documentation.
- Process and maintain all engineering/ construction /vendor/operation/design documents in multiple projects.
- Request document/revision/tag number in TDNR system.
- Prepare transmittals of drawings/documents for submission to all subcontractors, manage submittals tracking as required.
- Manage and update each register/log in time and accurately.
- Transmittal and document management quality control (Quality/Accuracy Checking).
- Upload Project Documentation to CPNA EDMS system.
- Transfer/Receive of Project Documentation with contractor’s systems.
- Respond to internal and or external documentation requests and inquiries.
- Ensure timely transfer of documentation to/from contractors and 3rd party vendors.
- Maintain and file project documentation, both hard and soft copy.
- Understand and adhere to Project Document Control Procedures and QA Standards.
- Provide input regarding improvements to the document control process.
- Make routine decisions and recommendations within authorized limits. Exercise initiative in completing recurring assignments independently.
