West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Quesnel division in BC is currently recruiting for a Silviculture Coordinator.

You'll Do

  • As a Silviculture Coordinator, you would be responsible for all reforestation activities. This includes developing plans and prescriptions, contract administration, contractor supervision, data collection, reporting, and budget preparation.
  • Program coordination with other members of the Silviculture team and the Planning and Operations Departments.
  • Additional responsibilities include monitoring contractor compliance with safe operating procedures, SFI certification, and health and safety programs.

You Have

  • A forestry, natural resources, or relevant degree or diploma.
  • A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) designation with the Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and undertake new challenges.
  • 2-4 years of relevant silviculture experience.
  • Proficiency with Silviculture software, including CENGEA (LRM), ArcMap, SNAP, RESULTS, and MS Office, will be considered an asset.
  • Flexible work schedule, especially in the spring (planting).

  • Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position $70,000 - $110,000 may vary depending on location, education, and relevant experience.
