Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how our organization uses data to make impactful, strategic decisions. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to provide actionable insights, design scalable BI solutions, and ensure the success of enterprise-wide initiatives. With a balance of technical expertise and strategic thinking, you’ll help elevate our business intelligence function as a trusted partner to the business.
This is a 9-month contact role based at Vancity head office and will report directly to the Director, Data Platform .
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders on how business intelligence can guide and inform enterprise-level decision-making
- Support the Manager in coordinating BI initiatives and projects (e.g., BAR and the Retail Service Experience) to ensure key milestones and deliverables are achieved on time
- Lead the resolution of complex and escalated BI-related inquiries to deliver a seamless data experience across the enterprise
- Design, build, and optimize analytical and business intelligence solutions that empower the organization with timely, accurate, and actionable insights
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure BI solutions align with business needs and drive measurable impact
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Advanced experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-related roles, ideally in a senior or advisory capacity
- Proven ability to design and deliver BI/analytical solutions that influence strategic decisions
- Strong knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or equivalent) and data management practices
- Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating BI projects with multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex data-related inquiries
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to effectively translate data insights into business value
- A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders

The salary band for this role is Band 7. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
