Description
- Lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates and project budgets for ICI construction projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive tender submissions.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and ensure cost competitiveness.
- Supervise and mentor the estimating team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all deliverables.
- Analyse project risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
- Track market trends, pricing fluctuations, and material costs to maintain competitive bids.
- Participate in client meetings to present estimates and address any questions or concerns.
- Maintain and update estimating databases and tools to improve the efficiency of future bids.

Profile
A successful Chief Estimator - ICI should have:
- A degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of the ICI construction sector, including codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools commonly used in construction.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate cost assessments.
