Reports to: Assistant Director of Revenue Management

Salary: Approximately $65,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary:
The Revenue Distribution and Optimization Assistant Manager supports Sandman Hotel Group (SHG) in executing and optimizing the company’s Distribution strategy across all channels, including OTA, B2B, and Metasearch partners. This role partners closely with the Revenue Management and Rate teams, distribution partners, and property leadership to ensure connectivity, parity, and channel performance targets are consistently met or exceeded. The position requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate distribution performance into clear actions that protect rate integrity and grow revenue.

Core Competencies:

  • Distribution Strategy & Optimization: Applies channel knowledge and optimization levers to maximize performance and protect rate integrity.
  • Analytical & KPI Management: Builds and monitors Distribution KPIs (parity, algorithm scores, channel health) and turns insights into action.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Aligns with Revenue, Rate, Marketing, Technology, and property teams to execute Distribution priorities.
  • Partner Relationship Management: Maintains productive partner relationships and ensures structures, rules, and connectivity standards are upheld.
  • Communication & Education: Communicates performance and opportunities clearly; supports field education and adoption of best practices.
  • Problem-Solving & Execution: Identifies issues quickly and drives timely resolution to minimize revenue risk and maximize opportunity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Distribution Planning & Execution

  • Assist in creating and executing the Distribution plan across OTA, B2B, and Metasearch channels.
  • Support ongoing optimization initiatives that improve visibility, conversion, and channel profitability.

KPI Development & Performance Monitoring

  • Create, communicate, and optimize Distribution KPIs (parity, algorithm scores, channel performance, connectivity health).
  • Monitor trends and report risks/opportunities to the Revenue team, recommending corrective actions where needed.

Property & Department Collaboration

  • Communicate and collaborate with properties and internal departments to ensure Distribution KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Provide support and guidance to property teams on distribution best practices that align with SHG standards.

Revenue & Rate Strategy Alignment

  • Collaborate with Rate and Revenue Management teams to ensure connections and yields are built and maintained as required.
  • Ensure Distribution execution supports revenue strategy, including rate integrity, availability, and promotional alignment.

Distribution Partner Management

  • Collaborate with distribution partners to ensure all structures and rules are maintained and performance standards are upheld.
  • Address partner issues (connectivity, mapping, content, rate parity, reporting) in a timely manner and document resolutions.

Opportunity Identification & Execution

  • Collaborate with the Revenue team on property- and distribution-specific opportunities to improve revenue contribution and efficiency.
  • Support partner initiatives and tests that strengthen SHG’s market presence and channel performance.

Field Education & Enablement

  • Educate the field on the opportunities presented by each partner and how to leverage them effectively.
  • Share best practices, performance insights, and action plans in clear, property-friendly language.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience in revenue management, distribution, eCommerce, or a related hospitality analytics role.
  • Working knowledge of hotel distribution channels (OTA, B2B, Metasearch) and connectivity concepts (mapping, rate plans, parity).
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with KPIs, reports, and performance dashboards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident engaging with property leaders and external partners.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with common hotel systems and tools (RMS/PMS/channel manager/extranet tools) is an asset.
