About the role

A CFO opportunity within a growth-oriented, publicly listed mining-focused company in the uranium sector with a market capitalization of approximately $3–5 billion available in Vancouver! Following a recent transformative acquisition, the company is entering its next phase of expansion and strategic development. The organization is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal leadership role in scaling the business, enhancing financial performance, and supporting continued growth through disciplined capital allocation and strategic initiatives.

Position Overview

The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Directors. This individual will oversee all financial aspects of the business, including financial reporting, capital markets, strategy, risk management, and investor relations. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience within mining, natural resources, or a related extractive industry, combined with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of corporate finance, including: Financial reporting (IFRS), budgeting, forecasting, and analysis Capital structure optimization and liquidity management Treasury, tax, and internal controls Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board: Support corporate strategy, M&A, and growth initiatives Provide financial insights and decision support at the executive level Oversee and lead all capital markets activities: Equity and debt financing Investor relations and shareholder communications Engagement with analysts, investors, and regulators Drive integration and optimization efforts related to the recent large-scale acquisition Build and scale the finance team as the company grows Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including lenders, investors, and strategic partners

Qualifications & Experience

12–15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with: Significant experience in mining, metals, energy, or natural resources Prior CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance leadership role Experience working within companies of: $3–5B market capitalization (or similar scale) Public company environment (TSX/NYSE strongly preferred) Deep understanding of: IFRS reporting and Canadian securities regulations Capital markets, M&A, and corporate development Professional designation required: CPA, CA (or equivalent)

Strong executive leadership and team-building capabilities Highly entrepreneurial and hands-on, with the ability to operate in a growth-focused organization

Proven ability to

Influence at the Board level Navigate complex transactions and strategic initiatives Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $300,000 – $400,000 CAD Equity: Restricted Share Units (RSUs) / long-term incentive plan Bonus: Performance-based annual incentive Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness package Vacation: Generous executive-level vacation entitlement Hybrid work model based in Vancouver, BC
