Job Overview We are recruiting an Apprentice 2nd or 3rd year Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Sherwood Park, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment. The ideal candidate must have at least 2-3 years’ experience in heavy truck and trailer repair with off-road equipment experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and functionality. Able to diagnose and repair manufacturers spec.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Collaborate with team members for effective operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Heavy-Equipment Technician or in a related field
  • Off road equipment experience
  • Valid Driver's License, preferably Class 1 or 3
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing including marijuana.
  • Must be fit-for-duty.
