YOUR MISSION

The Senior Analyst – Resident shows is responsible for all financial aspects of his/her division and shows. As part of his or her duties, the Senior Analyst - Finance must cultivate a partnership with the division, in order to support the implementation and maintenance of the financial management tools required by the division. The support and analyses provided to the divisional managers is intended to facilitate effective human and financial resource management—this includes anticipating various risks and a range of different situations. The main aim of this role is to add value to the operations of the designated division.

The incumbent is required to:

  • Act as a strategic advisor by coordinating the financial planning process. Analyze, communicate and contribute a variety of solutions relating to important issues in collaboration with managers and in line with a pre-established review plan;
  • Evaluate the financial impact of contractual agreements with external partners, suggest bonuses that could be added to these agreements and develop financial tools or processes that allow these agreements to be honored;
  • Help develop the vision and strategies of Cirque du Soleil in terms of finances and forecasting, and help update the mid to long-term strategic plan of Cirque du Soleil;
  • Collaborate with all internal parties to produce internal and external financial reports and long-term business plans;
  • Promote respect for the company’s financial policies, procedures and external contractual agrrements;
  • Carry out financial and forecasting analyses for internal clients (e.g.: comparative analyses of workforce planning, operational expenditure (opex) and capital expenditure (capex), performance, profitability, etc.);
  • Take part in the creation or optimization of loan arrangements;
  • Model, develop, implement and use financial analysis tools and methods, productivity measures and decision-making parameters for internal clients.

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA), with a major in accounting or equivalent;
  • Recognized accounting certification;
  • A minimum of five years’ relevant experience in a similar position, ideally within a large company;
  • Experience of using ERP systems, such as SAP, an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications;
  • Knowledge of Longview an asset;
  • Independence, exhaustivity, analytical skills and insight;
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous situations;
  • Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written.
