The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has come up at the Firerock Lounge as our current General Manager transitions into a new role within the Gibbons Whistler team. We’re seeking an experienced and relationship-driven leader to take the reins of this elevated and refined venue located inside the Westin Resort & Spa.
As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the Firerock Lounge — from team leadership and guest experience to financial performance and community engagement. You’ll play a key role in nurturing partnerships with the Westin and local businesses while continuing to elevate Firerock’s reputation as one of Whistler’s premier après and dining destinations
Salary and Perks of the Job
- Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 depending on qualifications and experiences.

What You Bring to the Table
- Proven leadership experience in hospitality
- Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach with partners, stakeholders, and the community
- A hands-on management style that balances operational excellence with inspiring team culture
- Strong product knowledge, particularly in premium cocktails, wine, and après offerings
- Financial and strategic acumen to drive growth while maintaining high standards
- A genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences

What Your Day Looks Like
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team focused on exceptional guest experiences
- Collaborate closely with the Westin leadership team to align on service standards and guest satisfaction
- Oversee and elevate the beverage program, ensuring cocktails, wine, and après offerings reflect Firerock’s premium standard
- Oversee daily operations, from team briefings and scheduling to service quality and guest engagement
- Review financial performance and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency
- Foster strong community relationships and represent Firerock at local and industry events
- Work with Gibbons leaders to bring innovative ideas, promotions, and experiences to life
