Reporting to: Service & Rental Manager
Summary:
The Hoskin Service Team supports a wide range of equipment covering the environmental, geotechnical and instrumentation markets. Based in our Burnaby office, your main duties will include working on a variety of equipment, effectively troubleshooting equipment independently, quoting/following up with customers and being a good representative of the company’s service efforts.

Work safely and in alignment with all health and safety regulations

Be knowledgeable on multiple Hoskin products. (Internal and factory training will be provided.)

Manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Perform calibrations and repairs correctly, on budget, and in a timely fashion
-
Quote repairs, lead times, and terms to all customers and schedule timely follow-up
-
Communicate electronically and/or via phone with Hoskin's customers and manufacturers to help troubleshoot customer's devices
-
Support all product Electrical inspections
-
Be a reliable service resource for external and internal customers

Support the rental department as directed by management
-
Work with our CRM program and related systems to capture customer information and service activity
-
Seek new service opportunities and develop leads from our website, customer emails and phone inquiries
-
Efforts are required to maintain existing business and seek new business
-
Work is generally based in our Burnaby location. Some travel to customers and training will be required
-
Support other offices in peak periods and for vacation and sick coverage
-
Full participation in annual warehouse inventory and unit fleet counts
-
Other duties as required by Hoskin management
Required Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
-
A post-secondary education in electronics or electronics technician/ technologist
-
Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to work through service manuals and schematics
-
Possess avid knowledge of using power and hand tools
-
Exhibit advanced disassembly/assembly and soldering skills
-
Three to four years of industry related disciplines
-
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
-
Proven analytical/ problem solving solutions for the customer and the company
-
Must be organized
-
Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals
-
A positive attitude is essential

Our qualified sales associates focus on providing a sophisticated range of testing equipment complying with the various test methods, ensuring that accurate and consistent test results are always obtained.
Our Instrumentation Department focuses on a wide range of products including optical camera systems, transducers and transmitters, data acquisitions and loggers, signal conditioners and indicators, automation sensors and measurement systems. We have technical sales associates that are trained in various areas and willing to help you with your instrumentation requirements.
