We are seeking a permanent, full-time Corporate Paralegal to join our Halifax Corporate Services team.
Summary Of Responsibilities
Incorporate and organize Nova Scotia and Federal entities, both for profit and non-profit; Prepare documents relating to corporate reorganizations and dissolutions; Attend to the extra provincial registration of entities inside and outside of Nova Scotia; Attend to the registration of business and trade names with the provincial corporate registries; Prepare routine resolutions; Review and maintain corporate minute books; Submit filings with the Federal and provincial corporate registries and other licensing authorities; Attend to tracking and compliance matters relating to various licensing regulators; Process due diligence requests; Prepare and file PPSA registrations; Contribute to the mentorship and training of other firm members; Record billable and non-billable time; Attend to other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3-5 years of corporate paralegal experience; Excellent technical skills and exceptional attention to detail; Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment; Strong competency in the usage of MS Office Suite; Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines; Ability to use good judgment and be resourceful; Ability to communicate in a professional manner with colleagues and clients; Willingness to learn and contribute to the team; Knowledge of Athennian, an asset.
