Relevant du chef principal de la commercialisation, à titre de Gestionnaire de catégorie pour les bannières de pharmacie Uniprix et Proxim, vous jouerez un rôle clé dans le développement et l’exécution de stratégies de catégorie performantes qui stimulent la croissance des ventes et la rentabilité. En étroite collaboration avec les équipes internes et les partenaires fournisseurs, vous influencerez directement les décisions d’assortiment, de prix et de mise en marché, tout en soutenant la direction dans ses orientations stratégiques.

Responsabilités spécifiques

  • Développer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies de catégories basées sur les données de marché, les tendances consommateurs et les objectifs d’affaires.
  • Analyser les données de ventes et travailler avec nos fournisseurs afin d’identifier les opportunités de croissance et d’optimisation.
  • Élaborer des revues de catégorie structurées et présenter des recommandations à la direction.
  • Assurer la rentabilité et de l’optimisation des marges grossistes et détails de sa catégorie.
  • Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes internes (commercialisation, opérations, marketing, distribution) pour assurer l’alignement des assortiments, des prix et des initiatives promotionnelles.
  • Agir à titre de référence experte pour vos catégories auprès des parties prenantes internes et externes.
  • Négocier avec les fournisseurs les investissements promotionnels, les ententes bannières, la participation aux événements annuels de vente au détail et les initiatives stratégiques.
  • Assurer des communications claires et efficaces aux magasins en lien avec les stratégies et les opérations de vos catégories.
  • Agir comme point de contact clé pour les parties prenantes et répondre rapidement aux enjeux afin d’assurer l’excellence opérationnelle.

Exigences du poste

  • Diplôme collégiale ou universitaire dans une discipline pertinente
  • Expérience accrue dans l’analyse et la gestion des catégories de produits
  • Sens aigu des affaires, capacité de voir la situation dans son ensemble tout en jonglant avec les détails
  • Compétences marquées en résolution de problèmes
  • Excellente communication écrite et verbale, bilingue (français/anglais)
  • Compétences organisationnelles supérieures
  • Excellentes compétences en planification stratégique et en négociation
  • Capacité à assurer une liaison efficace avec les principaux collaborateurs internes et la direction.
  • Expérience avec Word, Powerpoint, Excel and PowerBi
  • Démontrer un intérêt pour l'utilisation des outils d'intelligence artificielle (IA)

Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, as Category Manager for the Uniprix et Proxim banners, you will play a key role in the development and execution of high‑performing category strategies that drive sales growth and profitability. Working closely with internal teams and our suppliers, you will directly influence assortment, pricing, and merchandising decisions while supporting senior leadership in its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies based on market data, consumer trends, and business objectives.
  • Analyze sales performance and collaborate with suppliers to identify growth and optimization opportunities.
  • Prepare structured category reviews and present clear, data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ensure profitability and optimize both wholesale and retail gross margins within the assigned category.
  • Work closely with internal teams (merchandising, operations, marketing, distribution) to ensure alignment of assortments, pricing, and promotional initiatives.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert for assigned categories with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiate promotional investments, banner agreements, participation in annual retail events, and strategic initiatives with suppliers.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication to stores regarding category strategies and operational initiatives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders and respond quickly to issues to support operational excellence.

Position Requirements

  • College or university degree in a relevant field.
  • Significant experience in category management and product category analysis.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to see the big picture while managing details.
  • Proven problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual in French and English.
  • Strong strategic planning and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Demonstrated interest in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
