We are seeking a Project Support Technician Team Lead to join our Project Services Department. Under limited supervision of the
Project Collaboration Supervisor, perform complex assigned work within the Project Management Division. Will be responsible for
implementing and executing project collaboration systems and document management strategies for the Project Management
Division with a focus on the HVDC Reliability Program.
Responsibilities:
- Customize, configure, troubleshoot and maintain future and existing project collaboration systems such as SharePoint and
Aconex.
- As a technical specialist, design, develop, and deliver training on all aspects of project collaboration systems and processes to
project participants and contractors.
- Clarify, assess, advise and anticipate customer needs in the areas of SharePoint and other project collaboration systems for
updates and enhancements.
- Assist in the development of new or enhanced strategies for document management and project collaboration systems for the
Project Management Division.
- Assist in creating and implementing Critical Infrastructure Protection procedures.
- Contribute to business processes and recommend and implement appropriate technology deployment strategies to meet
business needs and increase organization's maturity in project collaboration systems and document management strategies.
- Communicate developments and innovations to all levels of staff in the Project Management Division on project collaboration
systems and techniques.
- Keep abreast of industry and internal developments and trends in document management and project collaboration related
tools and software.
- Provide expertise and assistance with regards to compliance reviews of drawings and archiving of project information.
- Utilize project management skills for the design and implementation of new tools and processes.
Qualifications:
- A four year degree from a University of recognized standing in a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Business
Administration or Public Administration, plus three years of directly related experience of which two years is in a complex
project environment.
OR
- A two year diploma from an institute of recognized standing in a relevant program such as Project Management, Business
Administration or Public Administration, plus five years of directly related experience of which two years is in a complex project
environment.
- Must have proven analytical capacities for assessing complex situations, problems and decisions, and ability to solve

problems and make decisions as part of a project team working with budgetary and schedule constraints.
- High degree of initiative, reflective in an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Mature judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle material which is confidential or sensitive in nature.
- Proven proficiency in customizing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining existing and future project collaboration
systems such as Aconex, SharePoint, Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret business problems or processes and develop appropriate solutions in close consultation with
end-users.
- Experience creating and implementing Critical Infrastructure Protection procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to understand project collaboration system and document management strategies and
best practices as well as the ability to learn and apply new technologies and tools quickly.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal effectively with simultaneous tasks.
- Must obtain and maintain a current Personal Risk Assessment and a "Clear" security rating in accordance with Manitoba
Hydro policy P513.
- Possesses and maintain a valid Class 5 Province of Manitoba Driver's Licence.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $35.94-$49.73 Hourly,
$68,873.74-$95,300.14 Annually.
