As the largest private sector Living Wage Employer in Canada, we’re proud to be consistently recognized as one of the country’s Top Employers. If you’re ready to join our team of 2,700 diverse individuals, access competitive rewards and benefits, and be part of a greater movement – apply today!

Your Role In Supporting Our Members We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Manager focused specifically on acquiring, retaining, and deepening relationships with our members. This role centers on understanding and enhancing the member experience across our chequing and savings products, ensuring that every touchpoint builds engagement and loyalty. You will take ownership to develop and execute on strategies to attract new members, design retention programs that keep them engaged, and implement initiatives that encourage deeper product adoption and higher member satisfaction. Leveraging data-driven insights, you’ll position Vancity to meet evolving member needs and deliver compelling value propositions at every stage of the member journey.

Success in this role means identifying untapped opportunities for growth among current and prospective members, crafting incentives tailored to their needs, and executing go-to-market campaigns that drive measurable results. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative marketing initiatives that increase acquisition, nurture ongoing relationships, and minimize attrition throughout the member lifecycle.

In addition, you possess a deep understanding of digital channels and are skilled at optimizing them to maximize member engagement and acquisition. By staying current with evolving digital trends and leveraging analytics, you ensure that each campaign delivers measurable impact and aligns with members’ preferences. You’ll have a Sr. Marketing Specialist supporting you in setting strategies, executing plans, and measuring campaign performance. You will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and play a key role in shaping Vancity’s member-focused marketing approach.

This is a permanent, full-time position with hybrid working arrangements based primarily at the Vancity head office and your Lower Mainland home office. Periodically, you’ll attend in-person activities or events to connect with members and stakeholders.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Partnering with product teams and cross-functional stakeholders to develop targeted marketing strategies for members, driving acquisition and building lasting engagement
  • Using data-driven approaches to plan, execute, and optimize campaigns across diverse channels such as lifecycle journeys, organic and paid social media, member events, and face-to-face interactions—always with a focus on deepening relationships and member loyalty
  • Leveraging your deep analytical skill set to ensure thorough measurement of marketing activity against short-term and long-term KPIs, while connecting results to opportunities for improvement
  • Enabling branches, member support, and other internal teams to tell a compelling story about our product benefits
  • Managing multiple high-priority projects in a deadline and data-driven environment
  • Leading and mentoring your team, guiding them to deliver high quality marketing campaigns

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • A university degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in Marketing (preferably in the financial services sector)
  • Proven experience leading engaged marketing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing strategy, delivery, and all elements of the marketing mix (lifecycle journeys, organic social media, paid media, events, and face-to-face), with specific experience in digital marketing
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of strategic business drivers and how these translate into marketing strategy
  • Proven ability to partner with data-driven stakeholders such as cross-functional teams and Product leads
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to use influencing skills to drive team alignment
  • Strong analytical skills to measure performance, derive insights, and aid in decision making
  • Superior story-telling and presentation skills
  • Ability to bring new innovative marketing strategies to life and constantly evolve best practice with a test & learn approach

You’ll Thrive Here If You Are

  • A leader – you understand how to motivate and support others in advancing the vision and mission of an organization. You craft plans, influence others in making progress on strategic goals, and cultivate an environment in which all are invited to contribute to success.
  • An expert business operational navigator – you understand how to drive balanced growth against organizational priorities and can pivot based on market changes. You know where to dig deep, where to delegate and where to prioritize to achieve results.
  • A dynamic communicator – with great interpersonal and communication skills, you create a clear understanding of expectations; you address escalated challenges and issues in reporting areas; and you represent the functional area across the organization.
  • A self-starter – you have a bias towards action and are motivated by getting things done. You have a habit of uncovering opportunities through curiosity and testing new ideas to drive results.
  • A strategic marketer – you plan and coordinate to establish marketing strategies, and tactical plans; and you lead development of integrated solutions, services and programs. You connect the dots across the business to provide more effective and efficient solutions.
