Digital Content Specialist

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Marketing Supervisor, the Digital Content Specialist is responsible for the execution of design briefs across all online channels and social media by writing and developing marketing collateral from concept through approval to production and delivery in a timely and cost-effective manner. Liaise with other marketing colleagues, sales staff and outside agencies as needed.

This role is 100% on site in the office. Please include your portfolio with your resume.

Key Accountabilities

  • Marketing collateral write and design and delivery in accordance with appropriate briefs
  • Utilize appropriate computer-based platforms and software to develop strategic social calendars, design and publish content to all social media channels and email marketing.
  • Liaise with other marketing personnel, including product marketing to ensure material is technically accurate
  • Manage and drive the appropriate approvals process to ensure accuracy and policy compliance
  • Ensure Brand guidelines are followed
  • Keep informed of new techniques and best practices to ensure that material meets Customer needs
  • Maintain Google analytics from website and advertising PPCs.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements
  • Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors
  • Support and maintain department lean initiatives
  • Perform other duties/tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field or discipline.

Desired Characteristics

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Premiere and other video editing software considered a strong asset
  • Basic working knowledge of website UX design and content management systems
  • Building and execution of email marketing with applications, such as Constant Contact
  • Experience with social media administration and analytics tools, such as Hootsuite
  • Proven ability to design, develop and implement marketing design and social campaign briefs via portfolio presentation
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of people at all levels
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical and business concepts and express them in clear and effective terms
  • Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask and plan with applications such as Monday.com
  • Thorough understanding of branding principles
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
