Marketsupport Canada is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to service our St. John's, NL territory (10 to 30 hours a month of work).
As a Merchandiser for Marketsupport, you will:
- Travel to various local retailers (grocery, drug, big box, home, hardware, gas, convenience) to perform merchandising assignments for nationally recognized brands.
- Provide merchandising services, such as: implementing planograms, building/ maintaining displays, selling-in additional displays/products, installing POP, stocking/tidying shelves, auditing, etc.
- Take pictures and provide detailed and constructive feedback through our reporting App.
- Complete all scheduled assignments efficiently, accurately and on time.
- Coordinate and map out your territory based on deadlines and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with store mangers and staff.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Available to work during business hours M-F approximately 8am to 6pm
- Ability to manage a small local territory and dedicated to completing all assignments.
- Can roll with the punches and handle a diversity of tasks to complete.
- Comfortable discussing, promoting and selling additional products.
- Smart phone/ computer savvy.
- Self-motivated, independent worker and a problem solver.
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to build positive relationships.
Requirements for the position:
- Access to smartphone or tablet (Android/ Apple) and home computer with Wi-Fi.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable automobile.
- May be required to lift 15lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs.
- May occasionally require steel toe shoes.
- Retail merchandising experience is a plus.

We offer several different certification curriculums for our team to ensure that they are properly armed to execute each and every project. Our standard Customer Service and Store Safety Certification courses are mandatory to all consultants completing retail support services. Storesupport System Training, Stores 101, Planogram Implementation and WHMIS are just a few of the certifications that we provide. Brand/product training is also a key factor in our education process. We offer a number of different options to our clients whether it be live on-site training, shadow training, webinar or product certification. We will work with you to determine what is the best option.
Our Technology as an enabler.
Our technology allows us to easily find the right people for the project, schedule them for the right locations, provide training and instruction, and capture information required at retail so that it can be actioned easily. Our web-based system allows our team to report online and/or from smartphone devices and to provide time sensitive reporting.
