We are looking for a Senior Technical Leadto join our team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Technical Lead, with deep expertise in Azure Data Platform technologies to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale data solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving technical excellence across data engineering, analytics, and governance initiatives within Azure, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both cloud and on-premises solutions, with a preferred focus on data technology. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communications, leadership skills, capable of managing complex technical delivery and delivering high-quality products that meet our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define delivery requirements and deliverables.
  • Work with project and program managers to develop and maintain detailed delivery plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the implementation of cloud and on-premises solutions, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in data technology.
  • Communicate delivery status, progress, and challenges to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and practices within the team.
  • Lead the design and development of end-to-end data platform solutions.
  • Solution and implement data platform solutions based on Azure Databricks supporting analytical and operational workloads.
  • Enforce data governance and metadata management leveraging Azure Purview (Microsoft Purview).
  • Collaborate with cloud and security teams to integrate Azure AD-based identity and access controls, ensuring proper alignment between Azure AD groups and Databricks local groups.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data solutions using Azure DevOps, ensuring automated deployments and version control.
  • Partner with business and analytics teams to enable self-service BI solutions using Power BI and semantic models.
  • Provide technical leadership, code reviews (Python), and mentorship to developers and platform engineers within the data platform team.
  • Define and enforce best practices, standards, and governance frameworks across all Azure data assets.
  • Troubleshoot complex performance and integration issues across Azure services.
  • Contribute to solution architecture reviews, cost optimization, and platform modernization efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical delivery management, with a focus on cloud and on-premises solutions.
  • Strong background in data technology, including data architecture, data integration, and data analytics.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale technical delivery and delivering high-quality products.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and delivery management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.

The base salary for this position is between**$102,000- $152,000**annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
