About the role

Business Architect Consultant (6-month contract) - Vancouver or Toronto 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is undergoing a major shift to a Product Operating Model, transforming how our Residential and Commercial businesses generate, manage, and scale revenue. To support this shift, we are seeking a Business Architect Consultant to partner with our VP, Commercial and Director, Enterprise Sales Operations on a full redesign of the Commercial organization — from current-state mapping to future-state architecture to a practical roadmap for implementation.

This consultant will bring deep expertise in modern B2B sales, Revenue Operations, sales systems design, and org architecture within product-led organizations. They will ensure we build a Commercial Revenue Operations engine that is structured, scalable, data-driven, and aligned to customer segment needs (Enterprise, Regional, and Local).

Why This Role Exists Commercial Revenue Today Is Fragmented Across Multiple Teams, With Manual Processes, Unclear Handoffs, Limited Forecasting Visibility, And No Unifying Revenue System. As We Move Toward a Unified Product Operating Model, We Need An External Expert To

  • Map the true current state of our Commercial revenue engine
  • Clarify segment-specific needs across Enterprise, Regional, and Local
  • Identify structural gaps, friction points, and missed opportunities
  • Design a future-state Commercial RevOps model
  • Create the roadmap and org design needed to enable the VP, Commercial to succeed
  • This consultant acts as an accelerator — giving the VP, Commercial clarity, structure, and a blueprint to operate as a true Commercial Revenue Architect.

Key Responsibilities Current-State Assessment (People, Process, Tech, Data)

  • Commercial sales operations workflows and technology
  • Revenue processes, handoffs, and funnel flow
  • Current forecasting, reporting, and analytics

Future-State Commercial Org Design

  • Clear accountability for revenue, forecasting, pipelines, and customer experience
  • CRM & workflow ownership
  • Territory, segmentation, and process governance

Deliverables

  • Future-State Org Chart (3–5 year horizon)
  • Role profiles & capability expectations
  • Operating model + decision framework
  • Centralized vs. decentralized responsibility map

Systems & Workflow Blueprint

  • CRM workflow requirements
  • Automation/workflow orchestration needs
  • Lead routing & scoring logic

Execution Roadmap & Transition Plan

  • 90-day, 6-month, and 12-month roadmap
  • Required talent, headcount, and capability gaps
  • Change management plan for Enterprise/Regional/Local teams

What Great Looks Like You likely are:

  • A former senior leader of Revenue Operations, Sales Strategy, or GTM Operations
  • OR a senior consultant from a modern GTM transformation firm
  • Deeply experienced in B2B/SMB segmentation, sales architecture, and high-velocity sales centers
  • Fluent in Product Operating Model principles
  • Able to translate ambiguity into systems, frameworks, and actionable structure
  • Skilled at simplifying complex workflows into scalable playbooks
  • A strong facilitator capable of bringing cross-functional leaders to alignment
  • Exceptionally clear communicator, storyteller, and presenter
  • Comfortable working with executives and senior leaders
  • Able to create deliverables that are visually clean, actionable, and usable by internal teams

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Commercial Strategy, GTM Design, or similar
  • Proven experience architecting B2B or multi-segment revenue organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to design org structures, capability maps, and operating models
  • Strong background in CRM architecture, workflow design, and GTM systems
  • Experience in high-velocity sales environments (SDR/inside sales) AND enterprise sales motions
  • Skilled in journey mapping, value stream mapping, workflow analysis
  • Experience in franchise, field, or network models an asset but not required
  • Strong facilitation and change leadership capabilities

💰 Compensation Rate Range: $80 – $96 per hour

(Actual rate offered will be commensurate with experience, expertise, and skill)
