QUALIFICATIONS
Have completed a post-secondary degree and/or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 year of fundraising, event planning, or equivalent experience. Experience building community relationships, volunteer networks, partnerships or local engagement initiatives, ideally in a health charity, patient organization, community-based organization or mission-driven environment. Experience working with donors, event participants, and volunteers, or an interest in learning; Able to think beyond individual events to build sustained community presence, trusted local relationships and year-round engagement pathways for volunteers, donors, partners and people affected by IBD. French proficiency is considered a strong asset. Able to manage a diverse workload and respond to shifting priorities. Attentive to detail, highly organized and demonstrated capacity to multitask high-priority items. Proficiency in MS Office 365, as well as video chat technology and familiarity with various social medial channels. Experience using a database is an asset. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is a strong asset. Located within Ontario Southwest region. Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle. This role requires occasional travel with vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Gutsy Walk: Plan and execute regional Gutsy Walk events in collaboration with other functional teams and volunteer committees. Grow revenue through stewardship of volunteers and solicitation of sponsors. Recruit, onboard, train, and support event-specific Gutsy Walk volunteers, with the support of the Volunteer Engagement Specialist, and serve as primary relationship manager for Gutsy Walk committees
Fundraising
Lead regional fundraising efforts, including planning and executing Crohn’s and Colitis Canada-led events and campaigns and supporting volunteer-led events and campaigns.
Community and Volunteer Engagement
Serve as the primary regional representative in Southwest and North Ontario, building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, businesses, volunteers, and people affected by IBD. Develop and implement regional community engagement plans aligned with organizational priorities. Recruit, onboard, support, and recognize volunteers and community leaders to foster year-round engagement. Identify and cultivate opportunities for community outreach, awareness, education, advocacy, partnerships, and fundraising. Gather and share community insights, emerging needs, and partnership opportunities to inform organizational planning and strengthen regional engagement.
Other Responsibilities
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives by sharing ideas, expertise, and thought leadership. Maintain accurate records and documentation, including timely updates in Raiser's Edge. Manage event budgets and monitor expenses to ensure fiscal accountability. Evaluate event performance and identify opportunities to improve impact and return on investment.
