Job description:

We are looking for a mechanic to join our team.

Red Seal Certified Millwright.  We would also consider a Millwright apprentice.

QHSE Responsibilities (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment)

1. Comply with QHSE practices and rules, along with regulatory requirements
2. Perform duties in a safe and compliant manner
3. Report injury, near misses, unsafe or improper practices and conditions accurately and promptly.
4. Assist in improving and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions, including participation in problem solving and risk analysis teams
5. Attend all required HSE related training programs when required
6. Coach new employees regarding proper HSE practices
7. Know and understand the HSE plan and objectives
8. Alert colleagues that are taking unnecessary risks
9. Check safety devices prior to beginning operation
10. Actively participate in HSE processes
11. Question any work that you feel is unsafe and do not participate in work that will endanger the health or safety of any employee.
12. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Job Requirements

1. Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning equipment.
2. Carried out electrical and instrumentation repairs within the scope of his abilities.
3. Conducts preventative maintenance inspections.
4. Installs new equipment and modifies existing equipment as assigned.
5. Oils, greases, and ensures correct lubrication of all machines and equipment.
6. Operates shop machining equipment to repair and fabricate equipment as assigned.
7. Reports completed work on service forms and MP2.
8. Occasionally will act as a crew leader when working on a major project.
9. Works according to Department and Plant Safety Rules at all times.
10. Maintains good housekeeping practices at all times and assists, as required, with the maintenance of security.
11. Undertakes special assignments as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent or his delegate.
12. Maintains tool assortment which are to be of sufficient quantity and quality to perform assignments.
13. Perform property  maintenance tasks, including janitorial services, floor      sweeping/waxing, grass mowing and snow shovelling if needed.
14. Must be familiar with all "Work Instructions" specific to maintenance via VKS and all other relevant work instructions. Must keep current on new processes and process changes.
