Job Description

STUDENT POSITION

LIBRARY ASSISTANTS – REFERENCE

SUMMER 2026

The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux wishes to recruit a student in information studies and who will remain full-time student in the fall 2026.

Tasks

  • Answer reference questions from users in the children and adult sections
  • Help with the use of research stations and the internet
  • Creation of bibliographies and thematic displays
  • Active and collaborative work in several library-related projects

Qualifications required

Qualifications

  • At least 2 completed sessions in information science (library science) (required) or
  • At least 4 completed sessions in documentation techniques (required)
  • Bilingualism – French and English (essential)
  • Ability to work with the public

Employment status

Schedule

  • 1 position: Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • 1 position: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • From May 4 to August 20, 2026

  • 35 hours per week

  • Hourly salary $19.75
