About the role

The Granite Club is looking for a Clinic Receptionist for a 6-month contract, who will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the Active Therapy Clinic at the Granite Club in a professional and positive manner.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet all members both in person and on the phone and make a positive first impression on behalf of the clinic.
  • Efficiently schedule and facilitate appointments for chiropractic, physiotherapy, and nutrition, naturopathic, osteopath, acupuncture and massage therapy services.
  • Communicate appointment bookings with all health professionals including nightly reminder calls or e-mail scanned schedules.
  • Enter billing information and provide patients with receipts, referral letters and reports as requested.
  • Pull and replace patient files and guide patients to treatment rooms.
  • Remind patients of the 24-hour cancellation rule and to reschedule appointments.
  • Responsible for sales of retail products and restocking as needed.
  • Promote all services within the clinic and be able to answer patient questions, also show patients informative literature on services and service providers.
  • Maintain all inventories pertaining to retail and professional supplies.
  • Support the mission statement of the Granite Club by providing exceptional service which exceeds Members expectations.
  • Monitor and maintain the Member waiting area for cleanliness and tidiness with magazines and chair lay-outs.
  • Assist with the Treatment Rooms cleanliness in preparation for incoming Members.
  • Attend any meeting required by the organization.
  • Closing shift responsible for completing daily duties list and leaving information if not completed for am shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • University or College Degree or Diploma in a related discipline.
  • Highly computer literate
  • Excellent verbal, written, managerial and organizational skills
  • Highly customer/member service oriented
  • Able to work independently
  • Experience in related area an asset
  • Willingness and ability to learn
  • Flexible to work variable shifts; evenings, weekends and holidays
